Looks like the answer is no and seems like that’s the pill to swallow for Twilight fans looking for some morsel of Breaking Dawn on film’s annual biggest night. Buy maybe not. RyanSeacrest.com is reporting that Bruce Cohen, the 83rd Academy Awards’ producer, does however have a surprise for Twilight fans, saying: ““Robert, Taylor, and Kristen will not be on the show but, the next best thing is going to happen and it will blow people minds.” Blow your minds. He went on to add more clues about this surprise, saying of it“not a live element at all…not technically CGI…and not the trailer for Breaking Dawn.’”
So, no Edward, Bella or Jacob and no new trailer but something to keep the travelling (in a digital sense0) fanbase tuned in and counted in the ratings tonight (the Oscars will be on ABC starting at 8:00 pm). The week hasn’t been without Breaking Dawn-related news though, will images of both the Cullen and Jacob’s houses hitting the web (not to mention Pattinson’s and Stewart’s cottage) this week and the apparent casting of a teenage Renesmee in Christie Burke for the second half of the film.
Breaking Dawn 1 hits theaters later this year on November 18th and will be followed by part 2, the concluding chapter of Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Saga, in November 2012. Both films will be directed by Bill Condon.
