A couple of days ago, it seemed the "Volturi" cast was heading to Baton Rouge, Louisiana to begin filming their portion(s) of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2.
They weren't the only ones.
Peter Facinelli ("Carlisle Cullen" in the Saga) has also made his way down south to shoot, and he's updated fans on Twitter to let us know how it has been going.
"On the set of BD. Shooting all night. Visiting with old friends. Love Bill Condon," he tweeted.
He's not the only one tweeting about night shoots. Andrea Gabriel ("Kebi" in Breaking Dawn) also ran a similar message.
"First all night shoot ever! Oh and turns out that stuff about me being a night owl is only true if I am in bed and watching bad television," she said.
Could this mean some of the newest castmembers, like Gabriel, are also busy shooting Breaking Dawn? Hard to say.
Yesterday, a couple of them were tweeting about meeting up in Baton Rouge, but they were both not there yet. The fact that there were questions about it, though, makes it seem like some very well may be.
Here's a bit of conversation between Guri Weinberg ("Stefan") and Erik Odom ("Peter"):
Erik Odom: "Stoked to see you on Twitter! Looking forward to meeting you in Baton Rouge soon..."
Guri Weinberg: "Hey!!!! Looking forward to it!!! Are you there now?"
Erik Odom: "Not yet but soon...still in Los Angeles for now"
So, there you have it.
In another, related piece of interest, Guri Weinberg has had a lot of interesting things to say about the Breaking Dawn project. Here are some snippets from his Twitter page you may be interested in.
  • "The BD costume designer, MIchael Wilkinson, did an amazing job with all the characters. So many covens and time periods to handle..."
  • "I will see Bella after the birth."
  • "Bill Condon is SO passionate about BD that I imagine the crew is the best of the best."
  • "I met the special effects guy...he's from Avatar. I was excited and a little star struck."
  • "I've met most of them at a dinner in Baton Rouge for the cast, writers and producers. I was personally a fan of Peter's."
  • "I get asked a lot about the cast of Twilight. They are so down to earth, I was surprised. They totally deserve their success."
This is shaping up to be a fantastic season of filming in Twilight-land!
